Newpoint Gas was founded in 1999 by Wiley Rhodes with a vision of providing the natural gas industry with the finest, most efficient gas processing facilities. Newpoint Gas designs and manufactures a full range of modular gas processing and treating units. Our unique design provides:

- The lowest combined installation and construction costs due to our modular designs with the interconnecting piping fabricated in the shop not the field
- Ease of operations with Newpoint’s patent pending start-up and process recovery systems
- Increased runtime to maximize revenue for our customers.
Newpoint provides unmatched lead and delivery times by pre-engineering gas treating facilities with capacities of 1 million standard cubic feet to over 750. We pride ourselves on our workmanship where ‘QUALITY IS NEVER AN ACCIDENT’ and are continually developing a global network of quality assured fabricators.
The company quickly grew to include Wiley’s Dad, Quenten Rhodes, who started working in a gas processing facility for Cities Service’s in 1966 as well as Wiley’s brothers, Wade, Joe, Zane, and Jerry who make critical contributions to Newpoint’s success.

Newpoint currently has operations in the United States located in Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, West Virginia, Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico.
Newpoint continued to grow with the addition of sales and engineering offices in London and Brussels, Belgium in 2007 and Mumbai, India in 2008.
Also in 2008, The Newpoint Companies expanded to include Newpoint Thermal and Newpoint Manufacturing. Newpoint expanded into the Process Heating industry by hiring the Sales, Engineering, Manufacturing and Service personnel formerly of GTS Energy under the name Newpoint Thermal, LP. Newpoint Thermal supplies a variety of Process Heating Systems for industrial applications including Gas or Oil Fired Process Heaters, Convection Process Heaters, Process Bath Heaters, Thermal Fluid Heating Systems, High Pressure Steam Generators, and Waste Heat Recovery Systems.
Newpoint Manufacturing occupies a 134,000 sq ft purpose built facility and is headquartered in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Officially opened on 24th March 2008, Newpoint Manufacturing’s first task was to hire and integrate 45 personnel into the Group. Certified with R, U, and S ASME stamps, Newpoint Manufacturing will support and enhance the Group’s fabrication and assembly processes globally.
In 1966, Rhodes joined Cities Service Oil Company and worked in a variety of operations and supervisory positions in gas measurement, compression, treating, processing, and sulfur recovery.
He joined Texas Oil and Gas Corporation in 1976, as District System Superintendent. He was responsible for maintenance, operations, and construction for the West Texas System with over 40,000 HP of reciprocating and centrifugal compression.
Rhodes joined Perry Gas Companies (now Parker Gas Companies) in 1980, and assumed operations management positions of increasing responsibility. He advanced to the position of Operations Manager and was responsible for Parker’s pipeline and contract treating operations in Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas.
At the completion of his role in the sale of Parker’s operating assets, he co-founded WRA to provide operating and consulting services to the Natural Gas Industry. In 1998, Crosstex Energy Services bought WRA, Inc. Mr. Rhodes continued to work for Crosstex Energy Services for about five years. Mr. Rhodes joined Newpoint in 2002 and continued to share his knowledge.
Rhodes was active in the Gas Processors Suppliers Association. He was a charter member and past Vice-Chairman of the Program Committee of the Gulf South Compression Conference.

Mr. Quenten Z. Rhodes Bio
Mr. Quenten Z. Rhodes was an integral part of Newpoint Gas and the co-founder of WRA, Inc, a Texas based consulting firm specializing in services to the Natural Gas Industry. After attending Texas Tech University and McMurry College, Rhodes began a career in the Natural Gas Industry and gained almost 40 years experience in management, operations and maintenance.In 1966, Rhodes joined Cities Service Oil Company and worked in a variety of operations and supervisory positions in gas measurement, compression, treating, processing, and sulfur recovery.
