Newpoint Gas, LP announced it has signed an agreement with UOP, LLC, a Honeywell Company, to jointly market the UOP Separex membrane technology for the removal of carbon dioxide in natural gas processing or fuel gas upgrading applications.

This agreement gives Newpoint Gas, LP exclusive rights to design and fabricate SeparexTM membrane treating plants to clients in North America.

VORONEZH, RUSSIA

Newpoint Gas, LP announces it has signed a joint cooperation agreement with the Russian Financial and Industrial Company, Kosmos-Neft-Gas. The ten year agreement allows Kosmos-Neft-Gas to market Newpoint’s gas treating and to assist in helium purification plants to its clients within the Russian Federation. It is initially anticipated that Newpoint will engineer and fabricate its plants in the USA with final assembly, electrical control panels and certification to be provided by Kosmos-Neft-Gas.

VILLAHERMOSA, MEXICO

Zane Rhodes, President of Newpoint Gas, presented two papers at the Petroleum Exhibition and Conference of Mexico held in Villahermosa, Mexico. The first paper, titled Gas Treating Technologies: Which Ones Should Be Used and Under What Conditions, explained the different processes involved in the treatment of natural gas streams. Catalytic Oxygen Removal for the Aberdeen Coal Mine Methane Project in Carbon Country, Utah, was presented second. It covered the procedures and benefits of catalytic oxygen removal.

SOUTH EAST ASIA

A major Oil & Gas Company based in Indonesia contacts Newpoint for design of a FLNG facility. South East Asia is the center for a great number of FLNG projects.

The May edition of The American Oil and Gas Reporter was graced with the inclusion of an article written by Zane Rhodes, Newpoint’s own company president. Since its’ beginning in 1958 the American Oil and Gas Reporter has become known for its’ dedication to communicating to its’ readers the latest technologies that can make all phases of exploration, drilling and production more profitable as well as boasting to being the Official Publication for as many as 29 associations of independent oil and gas producers and operators. Newpoint Gas, LP is pleased to announce that its quality management system (QMS) has been certified to standards set forth by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2000, Quality Management Systems-Requirements. ISO is a non-governmental standardization body based in Geneva, Switzerland, which is comprised of the national standards bodies of 157 countries from around the world. The scope of ISO is the standardization of traditional activities, such as agriculture and construction, to various engineering, medical, manufacturing and transport, information and communication processes, as well as good management practices such as the Quality Management Systems Standard 9001. To receive certification, organizations must show evidence of compliance to the requirements of the 9001-2000 Standard through an initial assessment audit, as well as an ongoing series of surveillance audits held periodically over a three year period, at which time a recertification audit is conducted. This series of audits will ensure compliance in process areas such as customer focus, management commitment, planning, training, product realization, design and development, measurement and analysis, and continual improvement. As a result of undergoing the certification process, Newpoint Gas can assure its customers that it has an effective quality management system, which will improve its ability to meet or exceed customers’ expectations in terms of efficiency, quality, and performance in all of the products and services it provides. Newpoint Gas has contracted Det Norske Veritas (DnV) as its ISO certification registrar. The role of the registrar is to conduct the initial assessment audit, as well as the subsequent surveillance audits, and to submit and maintain the registration with the ANSI-ASQ National Accreditation Board (ANAB). ANAB accredits certification bodies for quality management systems, as well as other certification standards.
