Newpoint Gas, LP announced it has signed an agreement with UOP, LLC, a Honeywell Company, to jointly market the UOP Separex membrane technology for the removal of carbon dioxide in natural gas processing or fuel gas upgrading applications.

This agreement gives Newpoint Gas, LP exclusive rights to design and fabricate SeparexTM membrane treating plants to clients in North America.

Wiley Rhodes, Newpoint Gas Chief Executive Officer, stated, “UOP and its Separex systems are world leaders in separation technology for natural gas. This partnership couples Newpoint’s efficiencies in rapid equipment designs with UOP’s advanced technology. Together we know we will be a preferred membrane facility supplier.”

“As demand for natural gas grows worldwide, processors increasingly need reliable, compact, efficient and low-cost treating solutions,” said Peter Piotrowski, senior vice president of UOP’s Process Technology and Equipment business. “This agreement brings together proven UOP technology with Newpoint’s outstanding design and fabricating experience to provide North American customers the best option to meet their needs.”

Newpoint Gas, LP holds several proprietary technologies and supply systems to almost every continent in the world. The company designs and manufactures a full range of standard and custom-engineered modular units. Newpoint’s integrated technology designs are provided on a turnkey basis or equipment leasing basis with full installation, start-up support, and training for operation. They are DNV ISO 9001:2000 accredited and are prequalified as a supplier with First Point Assessment Ltd (Supplier #10050980) and Achilles JQS (Supplier #26787).
